OPEN SOURCE / BUILT FOR THE NEXT ERA

modepot

We simplify, modernize, and performance-optimize the software people build on.

ModePot is an open-source workshop for modernizing software foundations—and inventing what comes next. AI-native and agent-friendly where they add real value.

Created by Tugrul Guner
The ModePot flask reformulates existing frameworks and packages, traditional software patterns, outdated runtime assumptions, accumulated complexity, fragmented interfaces, performance bottlenecks, human-only workflows, and difficult technical or creative challenges. Inside the transparent open-source vessel, four shared principles work together: modernize, simplify, optimize, and invent. The outcomes are modern frameworks and packages, optimized high-performance systems, AI-native and agent-friendly tools where valuable, innovative engines, and experimental games.

Build a synchronous Python HTTP API that adapts to GIL and free-threaded CPython.dexpotServe typed Python tools as a CLI, HTTP API, or MCP server—or convert between them.intpotExpose typed endpoints that combine exact operations with bounded agent-owned decisions.summonpotCreate and replay a world where agent proposals become bounded simulation rules.lifepot
Minimal Dexpot lockup using its ModePot family mark
Mode 01 / execution

dexpot

Synchronous Python API framework

Plain handlers. Adaptive execution.

Dexpot compiles routes once, validates JSON with msgspec, and adapts concurrency to standard GIL or free-threaded Python—without asking application code to become async.

Illustrative animation · not a live run

Request, typed validation, and response.

Mode 02 / interface

intpot

One definition, three interfaces

Define once. Serve in every direction.

Intpot turns typed Python tools into Typer CLIs, FastAPI apps, or FastMCP servers—and can inspect an existing app and convert it into either of the others.

Illustrative animation · not a live run

One typed function branches into CLI, HTTP, and MCP interfaces.

Mode 03 / decision

summonpot

Contract-first agent-owned endpoints

Declare the contract. Bound the authority.

Summonpot combines typed API contracts, deterministic application operations, and explicitly bounded agent-owned decisions behind one executable endpoint declaration.

Illustrative animation · not a live run

Fixed request-owned values, bounded agent choice, application result.

Mode 04 / life

lifepot

Bounded artificial-life game

Describe a world. Watch deterministic life adapt.

LifePot is an open-source artificial-life game where Jev proposes typed ecology, deterministic code runs the world, and a validated ledger makes every accepted change inspectable and replayable.

Illustrative animation · not a live run

Illustrative Conway’s Game of Life: each frame follows the same neighbor-count birth and survival rules; live cells appear, disappear, and move.

WHAT IS MODEPOT?

Simpler software.
Bigger possibilities.

ModePot exists to remove accumulated complexity. We simplify how frameworks are used, modernize how they are built, and optimize the paths that matter without passing the machinery on to developers.

We are building an open-source family of fast, approachable frameworks, tools, engines, and games, with AI-native and agent-friendly approaches where they add value. Dexpot, Intpot, Summonpot, and LifePot are only the beginning. ModePot was created by Tugrul Guner.
